I have been trying out the Shrinking Violet body suit for a few weeks now so thought I would share how I have been getting on.
The kit includes a solution, Shrinky suit, tape measure, measuring cup and record cards so you can write down your measurements and track your progress. The oily solution, that has been tested in a professional environment, is enhanced by the shrinky suit to help raise your body temperature and firm up your problem areas.
What you do it rub a measuring cup full of the solution into any problem areas (such as thights, hips, bum and stomach) and then you put on the Shrinky suit. How it then works is by increasing your body temperature by two degrees. You can wear it just when sitting still or equally when you are exercising. You should wear it for about an hour at a time. The suit does encourage perspiration and it also helps to cleans the body and remove toxins.
You are advised to leave the treatment solution on your skin for as long as possible after taking off the suit, so ideally not showering for 24 hours. The only reported side effect is that some people experience is a slight increase in urination for 1 to 2 days however I didn’t notice a difference.

Despite my initial cynicism towards these types of treatments (we’ve all seen those wrap sellers on Instagram), the numbers don’t lie and I did get inch loss from after just one treatment.
I was shocked when I measured myself 24 hours and 72 hours after the treatment to discover that there had been a further reduction. I jumped on my body mass scales to check whether the loss was water-related as I thought it might just be that but I can confirm that it wasn’t. So I can only conclude that this treatment does in fact work! It also made my skin feel good afterwards which must be due to the oils used in the solution.
Is it a long-term solution to weight-loss? No, but it is great for instantly refining your silhouette for something like a wedding, prom or maybe the night before you’ll be getting in a bikini! It would be a good booster for kick-starting a weight loss and exercise plan as you instantly feel good when you can see a difference already.
For the fat to come back, new cells have to form, which happens if a person continues to eat excess calories so you can’t go off and eat a load of junk food and expect to stay slim. So, like with any weight loss plan, it is really important to combine the Shrinking Violet suit with exercise and healthy eating for optimum results.
